Materials We Work With
Aluminum
-
7075 Aluminum – The 7075 alloy is capable of high strength as developed by heat treating. It also has excellent properties at low temperatures. Commonly used in the manufacture of aircraft and other aerospace applications not requiring the corrosion resistance of Clad 7075.

-
2024 Aluminum – An age hardening, high strength aluminum alloy. Useful for optimum strength to weight ratio structures. Commonly used in the manufacture of truck wheels, aircraft structures, and screw machine products, scientific instruments, veterinary and orthopedic braces, and equipment, and in rivets.

-
6061 Aluminum – One of the most commonly available, heat treatable aluminum alloys. Commonly used in the manufacture of heavy-duty structures requiring good corrosion resistance, truck and marine components, railroad cars, furniture, tank fittings, general structural and high-pressure applications, wire products, and pipelines.

Steel
-
4130 Steel – AISI or SAE 4130 grade is a low-alloy steel containing chromium and molybdenum as strengthening agents. The steel has good strength and toughness, weldability, and machinability.
AISI/SAE 4130 grade is a versatile alloy with good atmospheric corrosion resistance and reasonable strength. It shows good overall combinations of strength, toughness. and fatigue strength.
-
4340 Steel – 4340 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy steel known for its toughness and its ability to attain high strengths in heat-treated conditions. It has very good fatigue resistance.

-
6150 Steel – The alloy is used in the production of forged components of medium and large cross-section, requiring high tensile strength and toughness, for automotive engineering and gear and engine construction, such as forged crankshafts, steering knuckles, connecting rods, spindles, intermediate gears, pump and gear shafts.

Delrin® – Delrin® acetal homopolymer (Polyoxymethylene POM) is the ideal material in parts designed to replace metal. It combines low-friction and high-wear resistance with the high strength and stiffness such applications require. It provides a wide operating temperature range (-40 °C to 120 °C) and good colorability. Delrin® also mates well with metals and other polymers and offers excellent dimensional stability in high precision molding.

Rulon® – Rulon® is a proprietary, homogeneous material made primarily of PTFE-based resins engineered and developed for specific applications. The Rulon® family of materials combines high compressive strength, a low coefficient of friction, and excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance running without lubrication. Rulon® products are used in bearing and seal applications at temperatures from -400° F to 500° F with and without supplemental lubricants. Rulon® products are unique in that they do not cause stick-slip or erratic low-speed motion. They also withstand a variety of harsh environments such as extreme dryness, cryogenic temperatures, water, steam, and hydrocarbon fuel. Rulon® products primarily are used for mechanical, electrical, and chemical applications.
